open letter to my cable company

November 6, 2006 · 3 Comments

Dear Time Warner Cable,
If I were a gambling-type person, I would put my money on the fact that a large majority of quilters are knitters as well. I am. (Or fantasize myself to be.)
Why do you insist on placing Knitty Gritty on DIY in the same time slot as Simply Quilts on HGTV. Hmmm?
On the weekdays I have off, I now have to perform a ballet of channel switching to glean the most information I can.
And I know this is within your power, you’re the cable company, a monopoly of enterinfotainment.
Please get with the heads of programming at those two channels and move one or the other show to another time slot.
Thank you for your attention to this.
Sincerely,
missliz

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Miss Liz. AND, for including me in your blogroll!

Your post made me take another moment to appreciate my beloved TiVo. It has amazing powers, stronger than the boneheads at Time Warner, and is looking out for me at every turn. I can’t be the first to suggest it, but… TiVo rules. (Well, in truth, it has me watching a lot more TV than I was before. But let’s not split hairs.)

I must meet this handsome stranger, TiVo, that I’ve heard so much about!! Maybe after the holiday season…
